School Navigator

Who are you?

Are you passionate about the opportunity to work directly with youths and families? Thrive in navigating school settings and community based support? Have strong knowledge of providing individual and classroom consultation? Passionate about prevention services?
In this grant funded position and under the guidance of the Prevention Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to coordinate closely with schools to provide resources and prevention services to youths who have been identified as needing intervention or treatment for SUD/COD related issues.

  • Implement youth substance abuse prevention and community services
  • Implement prevention curricula within the school system
  • Facilitate prevention education groups
  • Coordinate support in crisis situations
  • Conduct informational sessions and trainings for other School Support Providers
  • Complete referrals and link families to appropriate services for themselves and/or their children provided by additional organizational programs, external service providers, and other community resources
  • Utilize SBIRT approach: screening, brief intervention, and referrals for treatment for individuals referred

You have:

  • HSD/GED
  • Previous experience working with youths in an educational setting
  • A valid driver's license and ability to maintain auto insurance, as the position requires travel within the community
  • CPR/First Aid certification and willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting
  • Ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR, and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously
