You will provide peer support to people in your community who are facing challenges you understand. You will improve their recovery. Be part of our multi-disciplinary team. You will make a difference.
You will provide individual ongoing coaching. Show people how to use community resources. Assist them in increasing their support networks - relatives, friends and significant others. Offer encouragement in times of crisis. Advocate for and protect their rights. Help reduce stigma. Collaborate with others involved in the client's recovery plan. You will matter.
In this role you will regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously.
You will have a valid driver's license, earn CPR/First aid certification, and be willing to submit to a background check and finger printing.

- Being a past consumer of mental health or substance abuse services with a history of managing one's own illness.
- Awareness of the importance of recovery in living with a mental illness or addictions problem.
- Past experience working directly with people in a service oriented field
- Have an active membership in a consumer advocacy or self-help group. A significant period of continuous recovery required.
